ATAR was born from the encounter of two worlds,two journeys shaped by different childhoods, yet united by the same devotion to beauty and the art of living.

One of the founders grew up in Safi, a city renowned for its ceramics and colors. From an early age, this environment nurtured a deep passion for drawing and visual creation. After completing a Master’s degree in Marketing, that passion evolved into a clear vision: to reimagine tableware not as simple plates, but as a couture stage a runway where every detail becomes a story.

The other founder’s roots lie in Fez, where childhood unfolded in the medina, within a riad adorned with zellige. Later, international studies in the United States opened the way to a career in interior design. A strong attachment to heritage and technical expertise naturally led toward the world of zellige and architectural craft.

Their paths crossed through a professional collaboration, where creativity met technical precision. What began as an exchange quickly became a shared vision: to unite imagination with craftsmanship, creation with architecture.

Today, ATAR embodies this dual heritage a Maison where tableware jewels and architectural mosaics coexist, where Moroccan tradition meets contemporary design, and where every piece whether tile or plate carries within it memory, artistry, and the spirit of shared beauty.
